Things to Do in Downtown London

Whether you’ve come to check out the entire London area or just to have a few hours between meetings, there is so much to see and do steps away from our hotel near Pall Mall, Victoria Park, Centennial Hall and more.  

ENTERTAINMENT

Discover Victoria Park, just one of the many parks in the downtown London area. Festivals abound in Victoria Park from May to October and outdoor ice skating is available in front of the band shell in the winter months. Walking, hiking, biking, splash pads and miles of nature trails all run along the Thames River, which winds throughout the city of London. These trails are easily accessible just minutes from the hotel.
 
Experience live theatre at the historic Grand Theatre, offering an exciting season of productions from September through May on the main stage. Enjoy live music or comedy shows at Centennial Hall or catch a sporting event or one of North America’s top concert performers at the Budweiser Gardens.

SHOPPING

When you consider shopping in London, think of Richmond Row, which awaits just outside our doors. Known locally as “The Row,” it’s popular with the University crowd and downtown residents alike, serving up a veritable smorgasbord of shopping delights in one-of-a-kind boutiques, studios, salons, galleries, cafes, pubs, trendy eateries and exciting live entertainment. This attraction literally has something for everyone any season of the year. Spring through fall is especially cosmopolitan on “The Row” – awash with colour and buzzing with excitement, friendly banter and good cheer.
 
To the North of the hotel is the Masonville area with the popular CF Masonville Place and to the south on Wellington Road is Whiteoaks Mall. Outlet shopping, discount stores and big box stores abound at Hyde Park and Fanshawe in the northwest corner of the city and at Southdale and Wonderland in the southwest corner of London.
